Hector Hugh Munro (18 December 1870-13, November 1916), better known by the pen name Saki, was a British writer often regarded as a master of the short story. Werewolves and tigers abound in the exoticizing of his narratives, where Nature always wins in the end. Saki’s delicately drawn characters and witty, delightful dialogues further accentuate his popularity, as can be seen in this collection which brings together some of his finest tales: ‘The Open Window’, ‘Tobermory’, ‘GabrielErnest’ and ‘The Interlopers’, among others, It is for his sheer mastery over the short-story genre that he is still remembered todaySelected Stories By Saki – Saki
